Examples of in-school support

The family of schools that invite us to come and work with them grows on a weekly basis. We now regularly work in schools across the Tees Valley and even several beyond. Although we do one off days and sessions we really don’t want to. Not because we are lazy but because after years of supporting teachers and students we know that it has limited impact. We much prefer to offer our time little and often. ICT is a need to know subject, you need the support when you need it, not all in one go on one day. Practically every school that works with us buys the team as a package. This has several benefits:

  • access to a range of practitioners with a range of expertise all within one package
  • you can arrange to have us work in a range of ways; with a class of children and the teacher, for a team planning session, for a whole staff training day…the choice is yours
  • it is cheaper!

Redcar and Cleveland schools get all of our services at a reduced rate because they already fund the centre.

20 hour package to be taken as and when required – £500 R&C schools//£750 outside of LA

Yes we barely cost the rate of supply cover! We are not here to make money. Our charges are simply made to continually reduce the contribution that R&C schools make to the centre. Below is a selection of videos  that give a flavour of the support that you could be accessing. We specialise in effective learning through use of technology, especially through creative use of ICT from EYFS to University.

Promo video for Normanby Primary Academy dinner service, written and presented by the children with I2L guidance.

Work from Acklam Whin using Green Screen and animation apps inspired through work with Inspire2Learn.

Creative writing day at Handale (Year 1) using Garageband to develop the mood of a story to stimulate effective writing.

Award winning video promoting the area for the 2012 Olympics. This video was created by the teacher and students with the help of Inspire2Learn. It was selected as the best video in a competition promoting the regions during the Olympic year. The teacher presented the video at a special dinner hosted by Lord Coe in London.

This video was part of a presentation by Normanby Primary that won the international Handheld Learning Award in 2009.

Inspire2Learn staff were delighted to help Cleveland Mountain Rescue Team document their Princes’ Charity Day. Unfortunately only our camera got to have a ride in the helicopter!

This video forms part of a series that were presented as the afternoon session at a Northern Grid conference in 2011.
